Veterans Legal Services is pleased to announce that Elyse Marks, senior director of strategy and consulting at Fidelity Investments in Boston, was recently elected to its board of directors.
Marks has worked at Fidelity for the past four years and currently leads strategy projects for internal business units. Prior to Fidelity, she was a consultant at L.E.K. Consulting and specialized in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and implementation projects.
Marks was first introduced to VLS in 2018, when Social Venture Partners Boston selected VLS to receive a three-year grant that included pro bono consulting services. A partner at SVP, Marks joined the volunteer consulting team that worked with VLS on a range of projects, including the development of its new five-year strategic plan.
“After working with VLS for the past few years in a consulting capacity, I am excited for this opportunity to broaden my involvement,” said Marks, a native of Illinois. “I look forward to working with the team and the board to help VLS continue to provide tangible impact within the veteran community.”
A resident of Needham, Mass., Marks holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
