VLS Senior Counsel Anna Richardson submitted an amicus letter today to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in the case of In the Matter of J.P. Writing in support of the plaintiff, Richardson called on the court to clarify that homelessness, unto itself, is an insufficient basis to justify involuntary civil commitment.
